We're a small team working with our first partners to nail down a model that scales fairly with stage, cluster count, and usage. While we finalize the standardized tiers, partner pricing is available today. Reach out and we'll put together an arrangement that fits where you are.
Your cloud provider bills you directly for compute and storage at standard rates. We never mark up your infrastructure.
SSO included
SAML/SSO is part of the platform from day one, not paywalled behind an enterprise tier.
Flat per-cluster
No per-row, per-seat, or per-task billing. Whatever the arrangement looks like, the shape is flat.
Your data never leaves your cloud
The architecture doesn't change with the pricing arrangement. Data stays in your account, every time.
Common questions
When will standardized pricing be available?
Soon. We're working through partner arrangements first to make sure the model scales fairly with stage, cluster count, and usage. In the meantime, every partner gets a custom arrangement built around their stack and where they are. Reach out and we'll talk.
What does BYOC mean in practice?
Your data, compute, and storage all run in your own cloud account — GCP, AWS, or Azure. SkaleData operates a lean control plane for orchestration and auth. We never see your data, not even in transit. For regulated industries, this is the difference between a compliant architecture and a non-starter.
What's a cluster, exactly?
A cluster is a managed deployment of the SkaleData stack — Airflow, Airbyte, DataHub, and Superset — running in your cloud account. Most teams start with one cluster for production. Larger teams often run separate clusters for prod and staging. Clusters run on Kubernetes in your own project, sized to your workload.
Why isn't SSO paywalled?
Because paywalling SSO is a racket. Most vendors — Astronomer, Fivetran, Snowflake — charge tens of thousands a year to unlock it. It's table stakes for any real company. We include it from day one because it shouldn't be a deal-blocker.
Do I pay for the cloud infrastructure separately?
Yes — and that's the point. Because it's BYOC, you pay your cloud provider directly for compute and storage. You get full visibility into your infrastructure costs, you keep your existing cloud credits and discounts, and we never mark up your infra. SkaleData's fee covers the managed platform on top of it.
Tell us where you are. We'll put together pricing that fits.
BYOC. Flat per-cluster. SSO included. The rest we figure out together.
